Show and Tell

Did I mention that those Divas are a talented bunch? Every month our Show and Tell is amazing!

Jan K just finished this CUTE bunny wallhanging using her twister ruler. I think the googly eyes just make it!

Wanda made this kid friendly quilt to donate. She said she makes a couple each year just to give away to someone in need. Quilters are such a generous bunch!

This is such a simple, cute panel that she really jazzed up with borders. Some lucky boy or girl is going to
love it!
Someday I will post pictures of Jan K's new improved sewing room, but for now, here is one of her funny signs. Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman With a Sewing Machine. How true!

Dixie Divas

Remember Nedra of Cactus Needle? She was my first friend when I moved to St. George, UT and she invited me to join her friendship group, the Dixie Divas. Sad for us, Nedra has moved to Arizona, but the Divas are alive and crazy! These are some talented ladies....not sure how I lucked out!

We meet one Tuesday night a month to visit (and maybe work on some handwork), eat some snacks and have Show and Tell. It's all optional, of course, except for the visiting.

We also meet one Saturday morning to sew. We bring our machines, stay for lunch and keep on sewing.
Here is what we were working on last Saturday

Wanda brought these beautiful Batiks she is putting together for a project. She went to Fab Fabrics (Superior Threads new fabric store) where Mother Superior, Heather, helped her out. Heather has a fabulous color eye (pun intended!).

Totally Addicted

Starting a new blog? No pressure. No pressure at all. I just read that there are now over 500,000 blogs and a new one pops up every 40 seconds. 500,000 folks! Eek! (Deep breath). No worries. Just ask me about my quilting or my daughters or my seriously handsome husband or Big Bang Theory and I can't shut up.
So, here's my Mother's Day gift from my youngest. She just finished her Freshman year at college and is home for the summer (yay!)  She is a gifted artist and so I am the lucky recipient of her latest project. I suspect dad may have helped with the woodworking part and I love it! It's going to be perfect in my quilting room. (Hmmm, not sure if I know how to insert a photo).
Tomorrow, when the light is better, I will give you a sneak peek of some of my latest quilting projects....stay tuned!
